IEAH Stables Breeders' Cup Races Disappoint
BC Winnings At Just $1.5 Million Before 2008 Runs; Kip Deville Lost

All of the star Thoroughbreds of the meteor-risen IEAH Stables in the 2008 season -- Big Brown, Benny the Bull, Pure Clan, Laragh, and the Breeders' Cup defending turf Mile champion Kip Deville -- were absent from the winner's circles of the October 25 Breeders' Cup World Championships. IEAH Stables was able only to add second place money from the Mile to its previous $1.5 Million BC earnings total.
IEAH Stables Minus Big Brown and Benny the Bull
Big Brown, Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner, was unable to participate in the BC Classic because of a grabbed quarter injury; Benny the Bull, March's champion of the Dubai (UAE) Golden Shaheen, was the victim of a small fracture and was retired to stud before he could reach the BC; and Kip Deville lost to the opportunistic filly Goldikova, an Irish lady, in the BC Mile.
Prado Busy Jockey for IEAH
Edgar Prado, who was Benny the Bull's regular rider, also mounted Pure Clan and Laragh for IEAH Stable in the Breeders' Cup. Prado, this year elected to the Racing Hall of Fame, could get no rally out of Pure Clan in the Filly & Mare Turf. The three-year-old finished last in a field of ten.
Laragh led the Juvenile Fillies Turf until mid-stretch, then she relented, holding onto third under the driving duel between winner Maram and placer Heart Shaped.
